The American people have been promised change time and again: an economy where ordinary folks can build a future, an end to reckless wars, accountability replacing corruption and a government that answers to its citizens, rather than the powerful and politically connected.

Yet regardless of who holds power, too many of those promises remain unfulfilled and times keep getting harder. The cost of living keeps rising. The national debt continues to grow. We’re raising our children in a country we barely recognize. But Americans haven’t given up on liberty, justice for all, or the American Dream. It’s our institutions that have failed us—and divided us!
